You should begin researching wedding cakes 4 to 6 months before the wedding. It is not unusual for us to book up to 12 months in advance, especially if your wedding falls into the high peak wedding season September to April. We have a showcase of wedding cake samples and portfolios of past cake creations. Our weekends are devoted to setting up wedding cakes on location; it is difficult to book an appointment on weekends. However if our schedule permits we can see you on a Saturday or we will accommodate you during the week in the afternoon or evenings Monday to Thursday.
We will work closely, one-on-one, with each bridal couple, so that every wedding cake is a unique creation, perfectly co-ordinated with your menu/dessert, theme, flowers, style and colour scheme of your celebration. Another important element will be the reception site and how it lends itself to the cake’s presentation. We discuss all details of your event; we encourage you to bring fabric swatches of bridesmaids dresses, invitation, ribbon or flowers used or anything that will help Lucy interpret your desires. A 50% deposit is required at the time of ordering with the balance payable two weeks before the wedding.
